No one except my wife can read her writing (most of the time). She’s a nurse but could have been a doctor given she had that handwriting thing down pat.

Should have said she was a natural left-hander and school insisted she must write right-handed. Wouldn’t be politically correct now-days.

Black out! Black-out skits are not so common in print media as in film and video, but it works here as Pilsner fades to black in panel 5 (or changes abruptly to black, in truth)….

Cursive writing became obsolete along with dip pens and fountain pens when the ballpoint pen became commonplace after WW2. It will be kept alive by those of us with a special interest in archaic writing instruments, but is no longer a basic necessity for communication in English.
