Gordon my good man, where have you been and what have you done. I can’t tell if it’s the endorphins, The AM Ale, the rosy glow syndrome, Shirley’s biscuits, big smoke or Rusty’s Boy park antics, but my friend you stay away from the poker tables and the border, with those eyes you are a dead give away, no pun intended. You’ve got the colors and the stripes, you are hanging at the park but you’re too old be in a gang and too wasted to lead the pack. So tell me again, what’s up, where did you get it and can you get some more. Maybe you should stop by Chet’s, he’s doing the orange thing and this morning he’s got mini muffins, caffeine mints and something in a baggie called brain beans which smells like popcorn and tastes like chicken. Maybe not, you probably should stay where you are. Remember last Saturday at the mall, Shirley told you to sit there and wait and you went out on your own, need I say more.

@SusanMy Hawaiian Sunset Nails are so pretty and i love the feature that lets the sun set at sunset! I don’t know how you did that!!!@techI think I can see it from our lanai. My sil works for the Pacifc Whale Foundation, I’ll see if he can divert one of the whale watching boats.@susan againA small volcano coming up.
Anyway…. for Dazz, and anybody else curious about “tricks” and shortcuts for altering images….To add to what Stel said earlier…. as I have said before, I myself mostly only use Paint…. the free program that comes with every Windows computer.
Dazz, you’ve mentioned Irfanview… well, it can do a lot more than Paint, but I don’t use it.So I’m not using “better” software.
I AM trying to learn another program, though…. but I’m having trouble seeing the tiny menus and icons.
Meanwhile…. of course any time you download and change a strip, whether it’s two letters, an eyebrow, or every part, it’s not the same image file any more. You can’t alter it but somehow leave it on GoComics’ own, or any other, server. It’s a new image that has to be hosted someplace, to link to it for viewing.Your choice, as to what hosting site to use.You seem to be looking, yet again, for magic….a quick, free way to do what takes us many hours…. Well, sometimes we wish we had that too…but instead, we spend a few hours… or .. maybe half a day… or maybe a lot more…It can take us hours just searching for images…even just images from which we can cut and paste bits into others, Then there’s the re-drawing, and/or touching up, with paintbrush tools, in all the places that don’t quite fit together, carefully matching the colors…adding text, painting out parts or colors so we can add different ones.If we show part of a strip that wasn’t there, like something that was hidden by a potted plant, or a longer wall than the original showed…we had to draw it!In my case…. some of the birthday cakes have taken two whole days or more….Stel’s invitations have too!Special cakes, various mismatched layers… cake plates, candles, decorations…. they might be cut and pasted into one picture….using 4 or 6 different images I found, and adding details by hand “painting”.I know that x_Tech uses a complicated program that allows images to be layered to create movement… that’s the one I want to learn.Bev, Chalkie, JP Steve….they’ve all spent hours or days on images….I’m sure others have too.I’m not saying ANY of this to complain…I love the work. Its a hobby. But when anyone wants to do it in an hour, or asks what program makes it instant….I can only say “good luck.”

The first T-shirt I ever wore that “said” something on it was one that someone bought me. It said:“The bus leaves at noon. Be under it.”
