We had “friends” who would invite us over, I guess to watch us shiver. We’d put our coats and gloves back on, too. No theatrics—just a very, very cold house.
Huh! He thinks it’s cold in HIS house, he should get a load of the meat locker that is my parents’ house! And let’s just say it’s not because my mom is trying to save money…

Calvin’s dad is equally hard to convince. Here is a strip from three years before today’s rerun:Click here: Calvin and Hobbes (December 29, 1990)Click here: FoxTrot (2002)Click here: Peanuts (March 18, 1957)Click here: Peanuts (January 27, 1963)
or, maybe the house was designed and built poorly for climate control. the upstairs is hot, the ground floor is cool, and the basement is icy cold. drafts all over, and maybe some mold too.
Don’t know whether there are corporate policies on things like this. But as a group, Burger King is the coldest fast food place I’ve ever been into, both winer and summer.
@Jeff0811: Glad you enjoy the extra strips. I post some of my favorites, and I enjoy reading them again when I “resurrect” them. I guess Lucy speaks with her eyes in the strip you mentioned.
Hi Tacopielvr. The poster you mentioned is one of our younger ones, and I want to give him the benefit of the doubt. My guess is that he reads the strip each day and the comics that I post, but, like you, skips most of the comments. So, today I tried replying together with the strips that I posted. Regarding the comments, some days it can be like reading the comics: There can be some really good ones in there among the others, but you have to read all of them to find the best ones.

Calvin is being overdramatic, his house is at 65 degrees Fahrenheit.

She should make him run around or do star jumps, that would warm him up.

Does he complain when he’s outside making snow ghouls?

…better yet, calvin should just snuggle up beside mom, get her arm wrapped around him and get her to read him a book…

@CalvinSet fire to something and maybe you can collect on the insurance later.
