I’ve never been much of a sports fan, but lately I’ve been getting into football.

I seem to have a hankering for pigskin….

no….but some REAL country music, that I’m ready for.

Thanks to all of you for the suggestions. Hank II has pretty much gone the way of many “singers” these days. Lot’s of whooping and hollering and not nearly enough music and melody. Even though I detest RAP, at least it also has rythym. There is a group centered about 400 miles from where I live that has been extant for about 4 decades that is fun to listen to as well, Mission Mountain Wood Band, although they have only released one album since their “In Without Knocking” album. good playing, decent (most of the time) melody, and all original.

Yes, but can someone explain this comic to me. I’m neither a country music nor a football fan so it went right over my head.

Not me. I don’t even watch Super Bowl for its game. I watch for its commercials/ad(vertisement)s/spots! ;)

I don’t even watch it for the commercials; if I have time to watch them the best ones will show up on the net (and very best on morning news. I only have a sports event on at my house if one of sons is visiting and insists he wants to see it.

I was always emotionally ready for football when Hank Jr. was singing the Monday Night Anthem, and before he was booted by the PC Nazis.
