I only hike 3 times a week, and I KNOW I’m not an athlete, either! (I don’t like peanut buster parfait, though)

“I’m in shape. Round is a shape.” I used to train people. My 2 guiding principles were “intensity matters more than duration” and “exercise to build muscle, not to lose weight”. The amount of calories burned during even the most intense exercise is small compared to the amount needed the rest of the day. If you want to lose weight, adjust your diet.

I’ve had an athlete’s body once too, but then I lost my job with Dr Frank, wasn’t too unhappy about that, the graveyard shifts were killer
