Heaven forbid they should put them on the floor!this panel looks strange, the chairs look like they are not resting on the floor, the side of Joy’s chair has no definition, and her foot rest is rather oddly cut off. Maybe someone could look in the archives and find the original drawing. Its no wonder their shoes are comfortable, they are floating is space! And Joy’s Hair. Yikes! It it gets any higher, she won’t fit through the door.
They don’t need any shoes at all (I only wear Isotoner slippers at home myself, but keep heavier ones at both doors for thicker soles outdoors). I soon hope to get more involved in my activities again.
I wear cross trainers, too. They are great for all the different exercises I do:
Running off at the mouthJumping to conclusionsThrowing my weight aroundStretching the truthBending over backwardsDodging responsibilityCleaning out the refrigerator
I believe Ms. Larson is getting a little too cookie cutter with her cartoons lately. I know she is saving a little time, but still, gotta give a little commitment. I re use some of my artwork, but I always redraw it, rather than just cut and paste. That way is still fresh and a little unique from where I copied it. I just use the earlier one as a reference.
If she had just taken a little time to re draw the outline of the recliner, we would have never known she did a copy/paste.
I still like her comic overall, and I like the humor, but I am disappointed in her quality of artwork today. I really feel like she just phoned it in.,

Those shoes will never wear out, they get so little use…

Cross trainers? Guess they’re good for the Couch Potato Relay as well as the Gob Stuffing Marathon, then?

Burl has his Pillsbury Dough Boy shirt on, stretched to the max. Bet he won’t giggle if you poke him.

Burl may not understand what kind of cross is in cross trainers, he thinks they match his personality not his exercise pattern.
