Get Fuzzy by Darby Conley for November 28, 2013
Transcript:
Satchel Pooch: Why can't you just teach me how to find inner peace the way you found it? Bucky Katt: Too complicated. I actually stumbled on the secret of the entire universe. Satchel Pooch: Wow, what is it? Bucky Katt: Pfff. You couldn't handle it. Satchel Pooch: Is it, say edible? Bucky Katt: You could never digest it, mentally or tummily. Satchel Pooch: Oh, I'll find it somehow. We dogs are good at finding stuff. Bucky Katt: Well then on your head be it. Satchel Pooch: O-ho! So it's a hat!

The supercomputer, Deep Thought, was specially built to answer “what is the meaning of Life, the universe and everything.” It takes Deep Thought 7½ million years to compute and check the answer, which turns out to be 42. Deep Thought points out that the answer seems meaningless because the beings who instructed it never actually knew what the Question was. [Wikipedia]

I’ve sais this before, but the 42 was a reference to the baseball player Jackie Robinson’s jersey number indicating we all just need to get along and have peace in the universe …
