Thatâs my personal pet peeve⊠when people get on, and itâs time for my floor, they sometimes just⊠stand there, as if they donât see that the elevator stops at the floor and the door is open, to at least make some sort of âanybody getting off?â kind of gesturesâŠ.
Oh, I do!âŠI say it, and work my way out, but I mean, the thing is that being in the middle of the elevator, youâre literally between a rock and a hard place⊠Peopleâs ears arenât always on, and a push is rude and aggressive⊠â And in some places, on paper, opening up your mouth and saying âExcuse meâ, then moving towards the door is good, but the application in a busy workplace, especially when youâre dealing with âExecutivesâ, or otherwise dealing with people who are âin their own worldâ and are oblivious to everyone around them, no matter how loud you open your mouth , is a learned operationâŠ..other⊠techniquesâŠ. are required/acquiredâŠ.. â Plus, I was just joking about the whole experience in a workplace elevator, both towering buildings, and busy hospitalsâŠ.
