While sitting here reading about urban raccoons, I had to grab a flashlight and check out the noises in my urban (town of 45,000) backyard. Four raccoons are currently frolicking out there, totally undisturbed by me or my brilliant flashlight. And during the day, several squirrels raid my bird feeder. No turtles, but lots of cute little lizards, and some very energetic gophers. I am host to quite a menagerie.

We had a fat coon that raided our recyling bin. Saw it walking across the back yard a few times. Not this year so far. No possums either.

Hammy’s right, as always. My wife has a raccoon coat: they are soft.

BTW, looks as if the box of carrot thins has reached critical mass in the last frame.

Maybe, maybe with pot roast and gravy accompanied by potatoes and some onion.

My grandmother passed down to my mother a skunk-skin coat. Looked nice, but for some reason, it always smelled a little funny.
