Maybe Sergio will be open to it if Baldo can save up half the money or maybe he has a nice uncle who can help. My son’s uncle bought him his 1st car in September, sadly he bought a lemon from a private seller.

Why would he discourage his son from talking about how he is going to buy and maintain a car? That seems like something the father would want to encourage. Baldo has a job, I’m sure he can buy his own car.
