Wait, is that television news? Haha. I remember the TV news. My parents used to watch that a couple times a week when I was a kid, back in the eighties. (Yes, yes, I know Iâm getting old. Iâll be turning 40 in a year and 12 days.) My mom had a joke she liked to tell, âWhat do you get when you put a red wig on E.T.?â
Mom and dad watched the news, on TV, to find out things like whether it was raining outside that day (donât know why they didnât just look out a window), sports scores (Dad cares about junk like that, âcause heâs weird), and sundry current-events trivia. I never watched it much with them, on account of it was all boring adult stuff, but back then there was also stuff on TV that kids could watch, that was actually interesting. There was this one show that I really liked, called Bugs Bunny. It was funny and interesting, not like the chintzy cartoons they have now.
(What? Oh, right, the answer to the joke. Dorothy Fuldheim.)
I always found it a bit scary that âthe newsâ is whatever the MSM decides to tell you. There could be lots of stuff happening that you should know about, but they decide to not tell you. OR, they tell you about stuff that really matters not. They really do have the power to guide your thinking.
âNow for the serious news itemsâŠâŠ.. Famous Hollywood actress, Snookie Shakespeare, was seen entering the ladiesâ powder room at the awards ceremony, last night. Her agent refused to comment.â
With Faux, ABC, CNN, and most of the MSM parroting whatever they get in press releases from their corporate overlords, paying attention to the news is largely a waste of time anyway
