    Wolves do not kill clean with “a well-placed bite to the jugular.” They rip hunks of flesh from the hindquarters and belly of the still living (and in many cases still standing) prey, eating it alive. Just how it is. “Kill or be killed; eat or be eaten.”

    rvporter, more often they rip the tendons in the legs so the animal cannot run, then rip it apart. As you said, rarely with a “well-placed bite to the jugular”. The big cats at least kill their prey before they eat it.

    No, they don’t. Big cats cripple the prey by biting the spinal cord and then play munch. The prey dies soon, but it is alive. I think you meant that if a dog(from another pack) offered his neck, the wolf would tear it out, not the other way around.

    Some dogs have the hunting instinct, others are poodles.

    Some little kids ask if my husky is a wolf.My husky now has bone cancer & probably have to put her down before Christmas -:( I’ll miss those questions
