Phil: What are we gonna do, Sis? Elly: I don't know, Phil. Mom will need someone to come and take care of her on a regular basis, if she and Dad are going to keep living at home. There are several organizations that provide these services. Phil: Yes - But, you know how independent our folks are! I feel so guilty, Elly. I wish we hadn't moved so far away. - WE'RE the ones who should be taking care of them!! Elly: Phil...Could you give Mom a bath? Phil: Where's the phone book?

My wife (bless her) helped my mum with bathing after her surgery. I may be her son and have medical training, but there are some things a man should never be asked to do.

I bathed my daddy. He was so embarrassed. But I pointed out that once my specs were fogged up I couldn’t see anything.
