April: What's this, Liz? Elizabeth: It's called a compass, OK? April: But... Elizabeth: There's two kinds of compasses. One that points an' one that makes circles. April: Oh. Poink! This must be the one that points!
I don’t remember ever hearing about any statistics, but you know some people had to have sustained some serious injuries from “pointy” compasses.
That is more properly a pair of compasses. Those using the correct terminology are wise, learned, single, and generally get picked last to play in sports teams.
