People do this sort of thing at the Great Salt Lake. They bend wire into the shape of something, a bicycle for example, put it in the water for a few days, and then the wire is encrusted with salt crystals.
You can’t sweat the little things…that kitchen might not be such a little mess though! Although I’m going to look up how to make rock candy…looks cool.
