When my younger son was 15, his older brother worked at Footlocker. We got 40% discount on the “sneakers”. Still, $60 is lot of money to spend on shoes that will only last about 3 months. And, on top of that, he was still growing. Those first sneakers only lasted 2 months before he needed a larger size. Ended up with a size 15 shoe at 6’7". The clothes he needed also needed replacing often.
