    Just make sure you know what you’re doing, when you work on of their pieces. Get something simple.

    Bookcases aren’t that hard. Back in my 20’s, before I had proper tools or know-how, I made a big (6′ × 6′) bookcase out of 1×12 lumberyard pine and plywood for the back. All I had for tools were a hammer and a pruning saw. Still, it turned out okay, and after I sanded, stained, and finished it, it looked quite nice. 40 years later I still have it, loaded with books.

    What cord. Who ties a cord to a tenon saw? What use it? I’ve seen 2 blokes on each end of a crosscut saw & they were wearing cords.
