Big Nate by Lincoln Peirce for July 18, 1993
Transcript:
Nate: Dad, why won't you let me have a dog? Dad: Not again. Nate: I mean, picture it Dad: Man's best friend! Can't you see me and my dog out running around, frolicking, bringing joy and happiness to everyone we meet? Dad: here's what I see, Nate...I see you running around with the dog, and me feeding it! I see you playing with the dog, and me getting up at all hours to let it outside! I see you frolicking with the dog, and me cleaning up after it, paying for its food, taking it to the vet... Nate: That's the spirit, Dad! Now you're catching on! So what should we get? A collie?
