Transcript:
Miss Wormwood: "How's your math homework going?"
Calvin: "AUGH! FINE!"
Calvin: "..sighhh.."
Book: "AGHH! GRR"
Miss Wormwood: "Your book ate your homework, hmm? That's a new one"
Calvin: "I'm lucky to be alive! I had to break it's spine!"
Oh, such things may happen. Yesterday I charged my handy all night long, and at noon all charging was out of it, it was dark and I couldn’t even start it, it was complete gone!! Normally I can use it for one and a half day.
LX, try removing the battery pack from your handy and then putting it back in. The battery may be just slightly loose, and static electricity can build up at the point of contact. My cellphone does that about twice a year. Taking the battery out for about 30 seconds is like pressing the “Reset” button.
As for Calvin…that’s the way I felt about math homework, too—that book was out to get me!
I’m a college prof. Today’s version is – My computer crashed. Even though computers are more reliable than ever. The computers always crash in that last half hour before the assignment is due.
Bill Watterson never ceases to amaze with his artwork.Even when he’s drawing ugly or scary things like aliens, dinosaurs or 3 eyed monsters…They still look beautiful. The book eating the homework is pretty cute.xxx
I still have most of my college textbooks especially the math books, and they are in good condition including the spines. Got rid of the calculus books, though… I hated that class with a passion!

Calvin has such a vivid & lively imagination. That kid is going to grow up to become a writer. Or – gasp – a cartoonist.

I’m pretty sure my book has done that a few times.
