Apparently, in the future, teenagers will wear their underwear the outside of their pants.

I guess it isn’t any sillier than the way they wear their pants now…

oldman2013: It was done in the 1960s but didn’t catch on. Before calico was introduced, Polynesians wore paper clothes (“Tapa cloth”). It was waterproofed with coconut oil to protect against sweat and rain, but swimming and surfing were done nude. Strangely Hollywood misses this detail in showing Cook, etc. being greeted.

Night-Gaunt49: Pitcairn had an autogyro with folding rotor blades that could be driven on roads in 1938 but had poor ground speed and fuel consumption. Most of the rest had to leave the wings at the airport, which meant going back to get them (and storage costs in the meantime). The CAA (predecessor) encouraged this concept, even ruling that the 1939 Waterman Aeromobile was a motorcycle without its wings (and so had cheaper licensing costs) because it only had three wheels. Because it came under other jurisdictions, the famous Morgan Three-Wheeler sports car got no such break. The FAA even approved a flying Pinto! I question the latter, but don’t blame the feds for preventing roadable aircraft. Now some other things…
