It should’ve never been coined “Global Warming” for most folks just don’t get it. It should have been called “Global Climate Change” which is all around us, but yet most still don’t get it………

LOL. You folks are idiots. The reason for areas having record cold temps more and more is because of the increase of the temp of the ocean. It’s a man made issue with the consumption of fossil fuels and being greedy and ignoring the impact it’s causing.

Man I can’t believe how many conspiracy theorists there are commenting today. Anthropogenic climate change is real and if you open your doors and look outside you might get a feel for this. The burning of huge quantities of fossil fuels and deforestation IS having an impact. Turn off Fox News and read some peer reviewed scientific papers. And yes the oceans are warming.

From a Geologist’s view.On the Geologic Ice age-high temp scale, we are plotted on a downward trend to the ice age side… In the 80s when I was studying it, Scientists were predicting a plunge into colder climate. Although, the AP had a report that the ice on the Polar caps was measured at an all time high, I keep hearing warm up.

I’ve lived in Colorado for almost 24 years, and I’ve noticed a huge difference in the weather. When I first moved here, there was no need for A/C, now there’s almost no way you can live without it.

what ignorance. if bluemel actually reads these comments, maybe he can learn a little something about CLIMATE CHANGE, which is the correct term for what is happening – NOT global warming. this means that we will experience intense weather of ALL kinds – not just abnormally warm summers.

2012 was the hottest year on record in the contiguous United States, and last July was the hottest month in the United States since record keeping began in 1895.http://www.nytimes.com/2013/07/11/us/climate-change-will-cause-more-energy-breakdowns-us-warns.html?src=recg&_r=0

Strange… oil companies are spending more money on their anti-science climate denial propaganda than they are spending on their geological scientist payrolls.
