Actually, some starting pitchers are good for more than 100 pitches a game. It depends on the pitcher, his age, the command of his pitches…

It’s 2.4 miles in an Ironman (swim) & 26.2 miles in a marathon, both of which are fractions and both of which Caulfield is likely to do when he gets older.
