I love to see the Brevity dog, too… and any sort of tribute to rOdd… or even (gasp) Guy.
I’ll always be grateful to rOdd for my avatar, and to both of them for their years of this strip.
But I really wish GoComics would post bigger .gifs.
The regular image on the page is only 300 px wide…. and goes to 450 using the magnifier.
That’s not enough resolution for my eyes to notice anything that small.
Now that you’ve mentioned it, I can squint enough to read “Rodd’s” … and copying the magnified version into Paint, at another 300x magnification, I can read “Brevity PD” … but the dog is still very faint.
Wonder if any of it is visible in print…. or is it just a little gift to us long-time web readers?

Sheriff Rip Haywire would pull it off better.(Actually, he would probably opt for a cotton blend from Land’s End.)

The white socks with the black shoes would not be permitted in any agency I know of.

Not sure why, but the cop reminds me of Cliff from “Cheers.” (I don’t remember seeing Cliff’s socks but I’d bet they were constantly falling down…….)
