Are you thinking Ted is a man? No, she’s definitely a woman.

Hey, c’mon, you naysayers …. this strip is wonderfully plotted…. It’s easy…. look….Yup, Ted is a woman….. who acts like a macho jerk man…..and is the partner of Chelle’s mother, Virginia, or so Virginia thinks.

Meanwhile, if I have this right…Jane’s friend, or at least, acquaintance, Bobbie, who she always thought was gay, says she’s married to someone named Ted….

For some reason Jane seems to think it’s the same Ted.

So….. she was trying to ask Dorothy, without naming names, whether she should tell Bobbie that her husband is a woman…. and cheating on her to boot.

But Dorothy thought the conversation was about Skye…. and herself…. about who was gay and who straight, and who wants who.

Thing is, this is 2005, and we’ll see Ted and Virginia and learn about Ted’s “secret” in 2008.

So I’m not sure what Jane actually knows right now.

Aaaaand…. I’m not sure how Bobbie could be married to a woman and not know.

Hopefully those 3 years (and then back to 2014!) won’t move in real time or we’ll never catch up…..Simple… right?

Ah, you folks shouldn’t have spoiled it for Bruno. I read this strip for two years before I figured out Ted’s gender, and it just added to the fun.

Reruns and more reruns. Still, this is interesting.

Yes, a timeline, date reference, the word “flashback”, something. Otherwise (sorry, Susan) it is a poorly-scripted jumble, understood only by cult followers.

Ted is the same gender as Pat
