My son was about 3yrs old when he asked a close friend of the family “Uncle Rick, why do birds fly south?” My friend who had no kids but wanted to at the time saw this as his first opportunity to practice dad-like skills and launched into an explanation of migration and formation flying, etc. to which my son replied “no, it’s because it’s too far to walk!” Made me proud.

And I love that the pond scum is dried in convenient pellets (very practical) and just as good!
I use pond scum to fertilize the garden (especially did back in IL where I had more deciduous trees= more decaying plant matter).
