For some reason I remember him with the Cards….and I don’t watch Seinfeld. I hate shows about nothing. They say…nothing.

He was with the Cards from ’74 – 83 until he went on to the second most hated team in Baseball. The most hated is the Yankees, of course.

I used to go to a lot of Montreal Expos games, particularly in the 80’s. I often got the company tickets. When I didn’t I was usually a bleacher creature. But that’s probably why I remembered him as a Card. I had to look it up too, though. I liked him when he was a Card. I forgot he was ever with the Mets.

They did have some good years, but not great fans. Their winning percentage in the 80’s and 90’s was about as good as any other winning teams. But the strike year really did them in. That year, I think they actually did have the best team in Baseball.
