Big Nate by Lincoln Peirce for July 20, 1993
Transcript:
Nate: Nate Wright, Master film maker, at your service! Want to star in my movie? Francis: Sure! What's it about? Nate: It's the touching story of a boy and his dog! It chronicles the heart-warming adventures they have together! Nate: Unfortunately, the good times don't last! By the end of the film, fun has turned to tragedy! Francis: Hmmm... The dog dies, eh? Nate: No, you do. It's kind of an 'Old Yeller' for the nineties.

I have a fanon crossover where Henry and June find a Squirrel with a spacesuit (Sandy) and follow it, therefore going underwater and meeting Spongebob and his friends. Hilarity ensues!
