I love Red and Rover, but if this was reality that would be cruel because Rover probably belongs to someone. We lost ours about 3 months ago.

Actually, I had thought that Red’s DAD put up the posters and when Red overheard him tell his Mom that Red and Rover went out and took them down. There was a scene where you see him walking away from a telephone pole wiht his wagon full of the posters he was taking down. Regardless, Rover had told Red (if I remember correctly) that he didn’t have a home. So, while in RL he may have been a lost pup, that was NOT the case in the comic.

I too feel bad about the family that lost Rover, but Rover has definitely been asset to Red. as I am also an only child I remember how important my dog Winston was to me. I though had lots of friends too.

I haven’t read from the beginning, but I feel sorry for the family that lost Rover as well. But if he “told” Red that he didn’t have a home we have to wonder why, maybe they neglected him or he just preferred Red because he could see how much Red loved him.

My apologies.I thought that Rover took them down.I went back and looked at my copy of the book, and found that I was wrong.

This arc is less than a week old. Unlike Pibgorn, which has been doing Romeo and Juliet for… what, a year?

If Rover never even thinks about his previous owners, then they must have been lousy at giving him attention. Either that or he cares about people only insofar as they feed him.

I have had many pets over the years, dogs and cats. Our cat Mittens came to us, on our front porch, one Christmas Eve, a couple years ago. We returned from Christmas Eve Mass, and she was on our porch. She obviously belonged to someone. We made every effort to find her family. Never did, she is ours now. Our best bet is that she and her family were visiting someone at Christmas and she ran out an open door. When we found her, she was wearing a flea collar. She was also spayed and declawed. Someone owned her and obviously took care with her. She is in good hands here, and SPOILED ROTTEN! LOL!
