Beni: What happened? Dill: It was awful. Dill: Alice put her step stool on the manhole and stood on it. Dill: She was waving her arms around and fell off, and she was crying, and her mom came out, and she went home. It was awful. Beni: Have you tried it yet? Dill: No, I'm about to. Would you like to go first?

Pity doesn’t last very long among these pre-schoolers, does it? Just wait until Beni and Dill take their own spills. Then, it won’t be so blithely dismissed!
