Rape is rare. When it does happen, unless you are a total douche, your fellow inmates will take action as judge, jury, and executioners. You are far more likely to tick someone off over something incredibly stupid (play the wrong card in spades, a joking remark taken as an offense, not following the rules and getting everyone punished, stealing food, etc.) and get the crap beat out of you. In fact, if you are gay, you have to be very careful about what you say. Any sexually suggestive comments will likely get a group of guys to gang up on you.
