It wasn’t Glenn! The Petersons next door had had quite enough of the incessant noise. Mr. Peterson couldn’t even hear Jeopardy on the tv. And he so enjoyed trying to answer the questions.
Hmmm…no complaints lately about Glenn’s drums….but for some reason, a number of people have been calling the Ballard County Sheriff’s Dept to report what sounds like a cat being tortured near his home.
Ess…. you seem to know them pretty well…. Glen or Stacy would never hurt a cat, would they?
Are we sure that isn’t Kieth Moon’s house?…Oh, that’s right, he’s dead…No, wait, that’s Garcia and all the keyboard players….I’m so confused…Wait, did they mix up the mosquito spray and the nitrous again? I love it when the do that!……….Who doesn’t like laughing mosquitoes?….
Initially Glenn was snared on this musical form and very upbeat about it. Sadly he learned he was rhythmically challenged and was ultimately drummed out of the business—percussively in fact.
@Happy, Stel has been very quiet lately (I remember only one comment yesterday) so perhaps she’s working on another of her masterpieces – I’ll be watching. I’ve got to go fix breakfast now because I’m leaving soon ;-D
Glenn not only is tapped out, but he played his last post: the lamp post!ESSEX, I think that the bagpipes will bring Glenn lots of attention from his neighbours. He will like that, won’t he?I am thinking of joining him with my rendition of “Dragging My Fingernails on a Blackboard”.
After watching this video, Glenn became disenchanted with his drum set…(When you play this be sure the volume is all the way up.)Now he wants something a bit bigger…Martha: “Wasn’t that Amazing Grace?”Glenn: “It sure was and don’t call me Grace.”
Quiet night here on Ballard Street…walking back to my salon from the Tiki….. not a whisper to be heard at this hour of the night …. morning….Well, except for that droning screech of bagpipes…
!@#$%! … is that coming from Glen and Stacy’s house…no…. well, I blame him anyway.
Look at all those other bagpipers…. Glen started this fad, but now it’s everybody.
Good morning to anyone that geeks out reading a comment section that is not show’n on sundae.Heh,heh :)This is where i would post any pics,if i could but i can not. [mental/tech,freeze.]even tho i just read all 73 comments,i had to add my 2cts.I could go on and on but noone will read this.I wonder if the mods check this? Maybe i could post, most any thing?/or NOT,my style, anyway.Have a great day! Now i’ll try Sherpa to see if it works today.Peace.
Well, I can see I missed a lot (not being here last night). I love all the bagpipe photos (especially the man with a dream by Essex and Bev’s version in cartoon form). Too many good ones to name – but especially Susan’s punny toucan!
My love made pulled pork flavored with BBQ yesterday for dinner, and I suspecting he might be short on veggies, took along some freshly made bean salad – the odd thing was part of our dessert – a tea called gunpowder and . . . . (shades of Burl and Joy) Twinkies! Unsweetened tea is definitely the best thing with overly sweet things like that, and the whole day was perfect – so now he’s singing in his church choir.
Since we seem to like all the same things, we watched a couple of his favorite shows after dinner and he read to me before dinner and both were lovely. I decided to explore the only thing (other than warm beer- as I’m not a beer aficionado) on which we might disagree: politics. But even though (as I had noticed he wakes to PBS news and puzzles on Sunday) and I get my news from FOX and Townhall, there is not as wide a separation as I might have thought. We actually agree on everything that matters.
Glenn we should talk. I know these are probably the most feared four words in any language that a guy could hear, but honestly critical mass doesn’t even begin to describe what’s on the horizon. Cool hand Luke said it best, but Shirley has added the exclamation point. Forget about the No Sweat meetings, you blew right through that façade of what it means to be a heavy hitter on Ballard Street. Let’s just look at the record shall we? In the beginning was the beginning and everything was new and exciting. So taking your queue from Shirley, that it was really your life to explore, you headed straight into your creative mode to uncovered your deeper being. Wrong, just simply stupid on your part. Shirley has scripted your life since the day you met and further more you were the one happy to stand in line waiting to play your lead in the romantic action story she so cleverly wrote. So what happen? I’ll tell what happened. You went from boring bells, to a D flat harmonica, to a wash tub base, to electric chimes, kazoos, recorders, finger click clack things, a wash board, blow bottles, knee cymbals, back to bongos and finally the $899.99 double chrome twin Tom-Tom drum set which is now the strangest lawn ornament on the block. I guess you’re happy now.
“Wait a minute…..is that….is that pcolli ??”.I would be quite happy to have a beard like that but I don’t think the other half would be very pleased. I also wish that I could play a musical instrument.
I have quite a few shortcuts saved to these gals playing THE HARP
I just received 2 new books in my mail today “Murder at the War” and “Blood of Tyrants” – fun now that the weather is good enough to enjoy reading outdoors. My Amazon order also had some dark chocolate sweetened with Stevia.

Meanwhile…. I too have been having problems with this site.
All day and most of the evening my comics page wouldn’t open….
The A-Z page was working, and most of the comics I tried to reach… but I got error messages on a few. All seemed OK again at the turn…
but then the whole site went away till just a few minutes ago.
Maybe they’re trying to make me think I’m crazy (they don’t know that ship sailed years ago.)
Or maybe there’s something in the water on Ballard St….
I’d better have a talk with BCMUD.
