Come on Jane throw the curtain back and go for it. It might be the best thing you ever had.

Reminds me of an incident a number of years ago when I was driving my granddaughter home from somewhere with a friend of hers. GD grabbed her friend’s phone and started shouting into it. When she got to a demanding, “Will you listen to me!?” it became hard to keep my attention on my driving, especially as she launched into this:“What you need to do is get a dozen white roses, then replace one with a silk rose. Give her the bouquet, with a note that reads, ’I’ll love you till the last rose dies.’ That’s how you make an impression on her.”I looked over at my wife, who looked back at me as if to say, “I have no idea where she got this.” We then asked my stepson and his wife; and neither of them knew where their daughter got it. My wife asked our GD about it last year some time; GD couldn’t remember doing it. Well, I don’t think she was even 10 years old at the time, which made the incident all the more amazing. But then, we’ve been saying for years that she’s [current age] going on forty-[something similar], going all the way back to when my wife was taking her clothes shopping right before she started kindergarten. Everything the GD was choosing was some shade of brown, from dark brown to tan. My wife found an outfit identical to a few she’d already picked out, only it was green. “How about this?” she asked our GD, who promptly threw a hand on her hip and threw it out (where’d she learn that!?), glared at my wife, and said, "Grandma, I can’t possibly wear that! It’s green! It’s not my style!! Who knew 4-yr-olds had a “style”!? That was when we first decided she was 4 going on 44.
