    Looks like the team manager has “lost the room” as we often hear nowadays.

    Do any of Charlie Brown’s pitches even reach Shroeder’s glove?

    @Charlie_Brown

    Just join the other team, you’re more likely to win that way.

    If Charlie Brown quit the team, the team would have a better chance at winning. We’ve seen proof that the team usually wins if Charlie Brown is not playing.

    I had never heard the phrase “lost the room” either, but my first guess is that it is lingo for a nightclub performer or a stand-up comedian. When you’ve “lost the room,” it would mean that no one is paying attention to you any more.

    There was one PEANUTS strip wherein Schroeder kept walking out to the mound to return the ball to Charlie Brown. CB told him he didn’t need to do that, just throw it back. Schroeder said, “Are you kidding? If the other team ever saw me throw to the mound, they’d KNOW I could never get it to Second!”

    The phrase gets used a lot in hockey, especially in Toronto. It means that a coach no longer has the ear of his players in the dressing room.

    Congrats, CB; you just alienated half your team and yourself. No wonder they don’t play good.
