Does anybody know when Snoopy first started imagining himself in the French Foreign Legion, crossing the desert? I think it must be later than today’s episode but I don’t know offhand. (Maybe he was already doing it, or maybe this strip was what gave Schulz the idea?)
Our terrier, Gizmo, had her own baby blanket since she was just a few weeks old until she passed away a few years ago. On occasion, my wife would run it through the laundry, and it would take several days before Gizmo would regain comfort with the blanket..When she died, she had dragged the blanket to her safe place, and I found her there..We no longer have Gizmo; but, we still have that old, tattered blanket…

Physics saying dogs can’t sweat whereas cartoon physics saying dogs can sweat. What can I say?

He’s either a “stupid dog,” or one that is very susceptible to the power of suggestion.

In the last panel Snoopy looks more like his shaggier brother, Andy.

@K. C.FahelNeither Andy nor Olaf nor his sister Belle were great characters, but, c’mon, who doesn’t love Spike?

I looked it up. Dogs do sweat through their paws and their tongues. (that’s why they pant) Snoopy looks funny fluffed up.

I love the “clomp!” panel.

It would be impossible for Snoopy to be an only dog, since they have more than one when pregnant.

Exercising the power of suggestion… Linus would’ve done well in the Psych 101 class I took in college!

The power of suggestion, Poor Snoopy didn’t stand a chance!
