I didn’t ever care for BB. That must make me be one of those people who think that Pastis has jumped the shark.

It just dawned on me. I never watched that series because I read it as “Baking Bread”, and figured I could do without another kitchen show …

Not having (nor wanting) cable or satellite, I have never seen Breaking Bad, but I am aware of it in a most general, superficial way through reading. So I can generally follow Cartoon-Boy’s parody. Mr. Snuffles is a wonderful choice for an arch-villain. [And to Kali39, I would say that a battle between the homicidal Cybil from Lio and the efficiently lethal Mr. Snuffles could be quite a gladiatorial contest!)

So which faction gets Guard Duck to do their dirty work…?

I can’t tell if we’re voting, or just commenting, but put me deep in the “Seriously Loving the Breaking Bad arch” group.I loved the series, and think this arch has a lot of potential.

Rat’s right. They can be nasty little things. Cats are the only “pets” that have ever caused me to bleed. Cute one minute, evil the next.

This is not a case of poling the porpoise or humping the shark.

Pastis must have finally cleared it with the lawyers to do this spoof.

I think the parody is only coming so late because Pastis has a long lead time for strips. (And personally, I think it’s funny, and besides, “Breaking Bad” is still awesome.)
