Yes, there was no domestic spying until 2008, the economy was terrific and we all enjoyed taking our children up to the top of the World Trade Center to look out over a perfect world!

@fbjsr Since you are so concerned that someone is getting money they don’t deserve how about his Fox picked one beach bum and made him the poster child for food stamp fraud representing 3 million people. In the same program hey praised GE, exon mobile, P&G, Wal-Mart, Verizon and others, all multi billion dollar corporations for working the tax system so that they paid little or no taxes and many of them got money back. In fact I paid over 5,000 in taxes last year and that is more than 43% of the largest corporations in the US.paid. Palin, the wicked witch from the north west, praised these corporations for the jobs thy create and their fraud because, as she said, and the fox echo chamber agreed, a rising tied raises all boats. Funny thing, most of the jobs they created are in China and India. So much for those patriotic corporations. And don’t get me started on Non profits and off shore accounts. I was visiting the Cayman Islands three years ago and on a tour the guide pointed to a small three story building and said that is headquarters for 46 American Corporations. I said “That is hard to believe” that building wouldn’t house some of the offices of a big company. He said there just offices with a desk and a phone, but it allows these companies to escape the taxes in the US.

Back when Kennedy said that it was so much truer than today. That rising tide is now siphoned off while those who should be reinvesting squeeze that which generates revenue till it bleeds out.

And BTW, why no comments on “the terrifying expansion of executive powers”? That is the scariest thing happening.

@DogDay What terrifying powers are you talking about? The raising of the minimum wage for Federal employees? The effort to get health insurance for millions of Americans that don’t have it now or are under insured. Wow. That is scary. maybe it’s the attempt to fast track immigrants that join the military, or go to college. Maybe it’s the effort to get health care for millions of woman. Come on give me some of these terrifying powers you are talking about. Maybe it’s the two wars he got us into. OH, no. That was the other guy. Maybe it was the torture, that we did. Oh. That’s right that wasn’t torture because it wasn’t happening to you. But he kept it up because he enjoyed the idea of hurting people just for kicks. Oh. No that was the other guys again. maybe it was the detaining if hundreds of people on an island for years without the benefit of legal representation. Oh. No That was the other guys too.Well, it’s obvious you have substituted your mythology for my reality. Have a good day.

@Baleine What the hell dream fantasy world do you live in. So if the congress should decide to prosecute Bush and Chaney for the war crimes they committed they should instead prosecute Obama and Biden? I would like to, live in your mind for just a few minutes just to see how really crazy you are.

@fbjsr OK fbjsr, if that is your real name. You are assuming that young people will never get sick and need a hospital or doctor. Funny when I go to the hospital I see lots of young people. A couple of things in the AHA. First young people are able to stay on their parents insurance until they are 26 second, if you don’t use all your funds for health during the year the insurance companies have to give back 80% of the unused portion. If one doesn’t have insurance and they break a bone of suffer another serious injury guess who picks up the bill for that. You do and I do. It’s the cost you pay for not thinking ahead and trying to slide by on the cheap. To all those who say “I didn’t say anything about that”. I agree, but considering what you wrote I figured you needed a little education on other things. If you know it all, forgiven me. Maybe I jumped to conclusions and you are no really one of those loud mouth, gun totin’ far right wingers that automatically think everything good about this country can be traced back to Reagan and everthing bad is the fault of Obama.

All too true. Also first rule of corporate politics – Blame whoever isn’t there. A human trait, not just for politics.

You know, it’s actually pretty amusing seeing people who have never actually read the Geneva Conventions and other laws of war talking about who has or has not committed “war crimes.”

The leftists haven’t gotten anything correct in 50 years. No reason for hope or change. In all fairness, however, Nixon gets the blame for the EPA.
