E. J. Potter, a.k.a. the Michigan Madman, was drag racing his motorcycle in the ’60s and ’70s powered by a 327 c.i. Chevy. I think he was the first to use a V8. He also used a jet engine on a 3 wheeler and nearly went 200 mph in a quarter mile drag.
