You never see puppies, either….So I guess Jerry can only draw old dogs and elderly people?
Maybe, as some people say about themselves, he really can’t “draw a straight line.”So he chooses subjects that would look OK if they come out looking wrinkled.
As one ages one does tend to regress to the more youthful times of their lives.I guess that is me. I am on PlayStation playing video games…..at 62…..and I don’t plan to stop. (hehehe)Like the words to a song.“If you never slow down you never grow old.”“You will never die if you never grow old”So keep the pedal to the metal………….KEEP ON TRUCKING!!
This comic is just plain funny!! I hope you are sleeping Susan – you were kinda rambling. Glad to here Bev is doing okay – is the blurring expected? Missing you Beviek. Any of you know anything about Susan Newman – haven’t seen anything from her in awhile.
Good*_*morning everyone. Glad to hear that bevick is getting better,me too,I’ve been on 10 since early.Veteran, yes,i just entered a contest to win a Victory M/C.and trip to Ca. heh, heh. :) Peace.
We had a lady that was ‘tetched’ down the street when I was little. I couldn’t understand why a 60+ yo woman dressed and acted like she was 5. Jump rope and hopscotch – she must have been in decent shape, though
STEL, that boy at wild waves isn’t much better. But if Wild Waves is Ballard Street’s idea of kiddie entertainment, no wonder there are no kids. Besides, the adults have enough fun acting like kids. Now I am off to play with my imaginary friends. We are having a tea party. AND BLOWING BUBBLES!
Jerry Van Amerongen, this is your subconscious calling. I’m actually vacationing on a small tropical island on the edge of reality, near the limits of a measurable amount, not far from the heights of hysteria; I know you know the place. Usually I wouldn’t let anything interrupt my good time, being the person I am, you know the type, since I’m you, you know. Anyway, I just had to say something, even though I’m sure you’re listening, nothing will be done because the damage has been done. Shirley doesn’t look like Shirley and Dorothy looks like Stan. I’m not sure you’re still on the planet, but if you’re anywhere near Toledo call Shirley’s sister and apologize. Frankly I’m a little nervous, since I re-upped for the long haul; I certainly didn’t see this coming. I must admit, today is one of those days I wish I was an orphan, sometimes it’s better just not to know.
Well, I’m glad that I can regress to the more youthful pursuits, and now don’t have to hide it. When I mentioned that I’d like to change my double bed for a king size, my generous son volunteered to send me a check. I raised great kids!

Oh gosh….the time change did ME in for sure…little sleep last night, dozing off tonight.
How are you doing, Fenton?Yeah, you’re right…. we SHOULD be more like dogs….
But I figured since you have to keep human hours….I see….time is still not a dog concept.
Well, you do quite well with it, I have to say. Always on time….even if you do nap under the bar when it’s slow….Yes you do…. I’ve seen you.
It’s OK…. the boss naps too… oh… right…. he’s not human either.
That reminds me… hope you had a good gig, Monkey. The Tiki is fine, don’t worry.

And before I leave…. I was supposed to post this earlier…sorry Bev, I drifted off…..
Madame Beviek would like you to know that she’s fine…but her vision is still a bit blurry after her eye surgery…
Her psychic vision, however, seems unblemished…she told me she foresees herself coming home to Ballard Street very soon.

BTW… I know it’s cute….but that picture of the baby with the grey wig and walker somehow makes me feel sad.
G’night, all….

While it may not be the only other depiction of a child on Ballard St., it is the only one that I recall…

That is a good enough reason for me! Lol. No cute kids on Ballard Street, except for us, of course.
