cautious, cause if he says YES and then fails he is in trouble if he says NO then it does not matter if he gets it or not, he already failed…so a Maybe is the right answer for this type of boss. If the boss wanted him to be assertive and wouldn’t hound him when he failed then maybe he’d say YES I will get it.
