Typical dog! :) I’ve a female Irish Setter and when I take her for one of her long daily walks, she’s just like a male dog…sniffs all over the place and then leaves her scent mark. Red, you should know Rover digs April! Just think, when the weather dries up, there will be a million places for him to leave his scent as the old scents have been washed away! ;)
We’ve only had one female Border Collie; she lived through several of her male counterparts. They constituted themselves variously as her friend, her protector or her proxy pup. One of them would diligently follow her around the yard and cover her scent marks with his own. It was almost protective and must have squeezed him dry at times. Love ’em all!
