I always thought that the term ‘pirating software, music or movies’ was someones poor attempt at trying to make copying intellectual rights the same as true pirates that would raid towns, burning houses, raping women and killing people while they steal.
Maybe if a term entirely for intellectual rights had been developed instead of trying to compare to something that is not the same, it would have a better effect. I certain do not thing stealing software involves murder, rape and destruction.
Unless others think that the Somali pirates are comparable to software piracy too.
