Boy: Wow! Your magic sponge thing says it will erase anything! So where do they keep this "permanent record" I keep hearing about? Frazz: You need the extra-strength one to clean up myths.
We had a twenty-fifth eighth grade class reunion from St. Helen School. When the committee went to get information about the class, there were absolutely no records at all….! Man, if I would have known that then…Cuz the nuns would go on and on about it….I feel cheated….
Our school district did actually keep a “permanent record” but something like 5 years after graduating high school, there was a window of time where you could pick it up or if you didn’t, it was destroyed after that.
The permanent record doesn’t start until your 18. Then it can be found at your state’s circuit court website. God help you if you live in Wisconsin. The site isn’t protected by a paywall, everyone uses it, and nothing is ever removed.
