I think the person who resolves the Mideast conflict in a manageable, maintainable fashion will have earned the title of Messiah, as I’m fairly certain no human will manage it beyond short term solutions.

But then again, peace does still stand between Egypt and Israel…

Gaza is 29 miles along the length of the coast. (about the length of the 26 mile marathon), 5 miles wide for approx 18 miles (A trip TO the MALL), a 9 mile by 7 mile nob on the Egyptian border, a much smaller knob on the North border. If the Israelis would use the technology that the USA have GIVEN them, such as concrete penetrating radar, (15 year old technology), intelligent guided bombs of various capacities, that can penetrate CONCRETE BUNKERS, (10 year old technology). Infra red sensing and ID of almost any simple targets,(35 year old technology). At 150 MPH, it would take 12 minutes with ANY bomber, to travel from one end to the other of Gaza.

If the goal is to shut down tunnels and take out CERTAIN TARGETS, AND IT TAKES 2 WEEKS OF RANDOM BOMBARDMENT, BY WHO KNOWS HOW MANY AIRCRAFT, WITH NO ANTI AIRCRAFT FIRE interference, then they are totally inept, or are deliberately destroying a 200 square mile area because it is a nuisance. This could certainly be handled without the slaughter of so many innocents. Also, where are the Super Intelligence Operatives who have been capable of finding, and eliminating WW11 enemies, all over the world, with impunity??? Cannot they have Intelligence feet on the ground to find and verify real targets???? H#ll, they defeated one of their enemies in SIX DAYS.
