    Well, let’s put it this way: We got more information out of Nazis by playing a game of chess and having tea with them than we ever would with enhanced interrogation*.

    Guess the righties would think that “playing chess and having tea” was giving them champagne and caviar and giving them massages in a Turkish spa.

    “We got more information out of a German general with a game of chess or Ping-Pong than they do today, with their torture.” –Henry Kolm

    “During the many interrogations, I never laid hands on anyone…We extracted information in a battle of the wits. I’m proud to say I never compromised my humanity.” –George Frenkel

    * Politically-correct term for “torture”

    “Problem is these guys are not puppies that followed us home. They are guys who want the USA to fail.”

    They’re Republicans?

    Cheney brings on memories of “I am not a crook!” Pelosi’s biggest mistake was “impeachment is off the table” for both Bush and Cheney. He should be exposed to the “enhanced interrogation” techniques he authorized, in fact ordered, and yes, to some, they would make waterboarding seem benign.

    Effective interrogation DID take place before 9/11. Accurate information was received, and Bush/Cheney ignored it. THEY led America to failure.

    “Oh Danial in his own little reality again. Simple Math. The R want USA to not fail. The D want the D to not to fail. If D does not fail it = a socialistic nanny state and higher taxes to pay for it. So R wanting D to Fail does not mean R wants USA To Fail. R wants the Nanny State to fail.”

    Nice little fantasy, harley. D does not want a “socialistic nanny state and higher taxes to pay for it”. R wants D to want a “socialistic nanny state and higher taxes to pay for it” but D doesn’t want it. R will continue to claim D wants it though and become more and more marginalized. So, please, keep claiming that, R.

    I disagreed with Bush’s policies to the edges of the Earth, but I didn’t want him to fail. If Bush fails the country fails. In the last 8 years, we’ve seen what happens when a president fails…
