That cast iron collar might just be a wee bit heavy.

Claremont is the purely innocent side of me, thrust into the world with nothing but pretense. He’s also just a cute dog that I love to draw.

It’s true. Claremont started out as a pig. Eventually, Stephan Pastis came out with Pearls Before Swine with a similar, sensitive pig, so I altered the old strips to make Claremont a dog.

And I have to say that I love Pearls Before Swine. Who doesn’t? I’ve bought all the books.

Unfortunately…During a training session for puppies I was trending, a tiny Cavalier King Charles Spaniel came in wearing a spiked choke collar!
