@Amber ThompsonMost people don’t take the time to learn that the actual name of Mexico is “The United States of Mexico”. The USA, of course is “The United States of America”. So, the way we distinguish the two in an abbreviated fashion: Mexico and America. I’m sure the writer is neither bigoted nor uninformed. Only practical, and not so caught up at being politically correct that they lose their foothold in reality.
