More of a republican-wanabee province who calls anyone outside unpatriotic (especially quebeckers)
Quebec was really, really catholic up until the 1970’s (what we called the Quiet Revolution) but since a few scandals broke out (Duplessis Orphans, pedophile priests, bad treatment of women), the Catholic church became about as popular in Quebec as popular as the flesh-eating bacteria, give or take a few votes.
Usually, the west coast tends to be a bit more on the left (like California), Alberta is a die-hard conservative (like the midwest), the rest of the prairies and Ontario are divided between NDP, Liberals (left), Quebec has its own party (separatist, but ironically being represented in the Commons is what keeps them from seceeding) and the Maritimes are quite liberal.
Here’s a map of the last election results, where the conservatives did quite well;

He’s from Winnipeg and they’re big on oil there (Canada’s Bible Belt, sorta) so it’s probably not for the electric car.
