When people ask me “did you see the commercial (name of whatever commercial they’re talking about)?” I always respond that I haven’t seen commercial since I bought my first VCR.
The downside is that I’m always looking for for products they stopped making 20 years ago.
@katina.cooper That’s pretty accurate. @Veteran I love those two rules! Once you’ve lived awhile, the small stuff just gets smaller. Your pants may get bigger, but that’s because your portions should get smaller too (Hey, I’m speaking to myself, here!)
@Veteran A lot of these older strips were drawn while listening to Old Time Radio. It was a great era and I collected quite a bit of it.
@Garey I know! Where can I buy one of those? That’s the way I doodle, actually, and if I incorporated that more into the strip I think it would be a pretty funky style.

On the contrary…..there’s some really imaginative possibilities there… underwater chess? …. moonlight rock climbing?

I think you’re all missing the greater significance of this strip. That FANTASTIC flower vase sculpture.

Born 1942, grew up listening to radio. First TV we had was one channel, local content and bad.
