Trebor, you disagree? I was great at pongâŚsherlock, in the ending of 2001, whatâs with the guy in the room slowly dying alone. Whatâs with the fetus thatâs larger than the world? Neither of those have anything anything to do with the rest of the movieâŚ.
Worth capturing, Arthur C. Clarkeâs The Sentinel from 1951; right-click and âsave link asâ, itâs a six-page story in PDF (with a few OCR typos).

2001 a great movie, with a ending that has no meaning at all as far as anybody can tell. The sequel made absolutely no sense.

Amazing. I just watched 2001 last night for the first time in over 30 years. And I still have no idea of what it was about.

When I had a Mac my error message was Dorothyâs voice (from Wizard of Oz) saying âWhat would you do if you had a brain?â

Thatâs what Cliff gets for buying the GPS unit from Goodwill in 2001.

And donât forget that the basis for 2001 was âThe Sentine,â which is a very short story by Clark.
