Hellllloooooo, Birdbrainiacs!

It’s been kind of a long time since I’ve publicly posted comments on this ridiculous cartoon, so I thought I might ridiculously post some ridiculous ridicules now…

First – thank you all for continuing to read this thing, for whatever reason (making other cartoonists look good, to stop laughing after reading other cartoons, to complain about the quality of my work, etc.).

Second, I do try to read your comments when I can. I read most of them. They’re always funnier than what I write, which might be another reason to read this thing…

Third, some cartoonists have had “caption contests,” and I was thinking we could do something like that here – if there is sufficient interest. I don’t have any prizes other than to send the winner the original art with their winning caption after it runs. I’m proposing to create some art with a simple “caption” reading: “Suggest a caption in comments section,” or something equally stupid. We could do it with everyone commenting the next day on the best caption submission. There would only be one day to submit captions, unless there is huuuuuuge demand to give it two days. :)

So, let me know what you think. We could do it on a regular basis if you like it (like once a month) or less regular if you don’t (like once a century).

I look forward to “hearing” what you all have to say.

And to you regular readers – ML, DF, Grog, Shika, Dr. Toon, Lingewhiz and whoever else I might have forgotten) – thank you for your continuing loyalty – it is deeply appreciated.

Oh, and thank all of you for reading this ridiculous ridicule of ridiculous insanity.

Great to hear from you, Thom. As much as I’d love to have another one of your originals, I fear that Digital Frog will be on top of his game each and every time. But, hey, just maybe I can outperform the master once. Game on!

Any chance I can get my hands on that “Curiosity” work? That is my all time favorite (still)!

I haven’t been commenting much at all as my job has kept me busy, but your drawings are the best as per the usual. Keep them coming Sir!
